Google to Integrate Self-Driving Tech into the Chrysler Pacifica

May 26th, 2016 by

In our last post we introduced you to the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. Since then there has been some news surrounding the newly released Pacifica.

Earlier this month, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Google announced their newly developed partnership, which will include about 100 self-driving Pacifica hybrid prototypes. Google will use the fleet of minivans to test its self-driving technology, which the tech-giant has been working on for years. “FCA has a nimble and experienced engineering team and the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan is well-suited for Google’s self-driving technology,” John Krafcik, the CEO of Google’s self-driving car project, said in the press release. “The opportunity to work closely with FCA engineers will accelerate our efforts to develop a fully self-driving car that will make our roads safer and bring everyday destinations within reach for those who cannot drive.”
